Why Hello There!
Here’s a little bit about me!
Hi there! My name is Katelyn Harold and I am a performer based in New York. Born and raised on Long Island, I am an alumni of LIHSA and the American Theater Dance Workshop in Mineola, NY. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College, and I am so honored to be the first person in my family to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Growing up, I’ve always seemed a bit “theatrical.” At four years old, I was belting out Cher’s Greatest Hits in my mom’s car (The Wiggles weren’t good enough). In kindergarten, my teacher staged High School Musical 2 and (without an official audition I’ll add) offered me the role of “Sharpay Evans,” where I donned a blonde wig just as big as I was! School pick-up was filled with every classic rock tune I learned to appreciate thanks to my dad (a guitarist); songs which would eventually inform my pop/rock voice. From a young age, I found my passion through music and theatre, and couldn’t wait to share it with the world!
Recently, I made my Regional Debut in Jersey Boys as Francine & Others/Assistant Dance Captain, portrayed Leilani/Cat Lady/Ensemble in Legally Blonde, and the Female Swing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all at The John W. Engeman Theater! I signed with FireStarter Entertainment Talent Agency for Theater/Commercial/Print, and I’m ready to take my career to the next level with my fantastic team.
When I’m offstage, you’ll probably catch me devouring my mom’s Eggplant Parm with family and friends, glamming a friend or colleague for their headshots, or watching The Sopranos! No matter where I go, I aim to brighten every room with my passion, positivity, and zest for life.
